Las Tortugas cancelled

NO MORE DANCE OF THE DEAD

Las Tortugas V by Chad SmithLas Tortugas was canceled in the foreseeable future. Read the following statement:

George Harrison said: "all things Must pass," and as the sentence announce me as producer of Las Tortugas V, it is time to say goodbye to all you amazing souls, kind. We decided that Tortugas, in its current state, will not go on. It is with a heavy heart that the Tortugas crew says goodbye for now. We simply think after five years, that it is time to move forward. Year 5 was our best one yet, then why not out on top?

This does not mean that we could never do Tortugas once again, perhaps in the same place but smaller, like the old days, or perhaps take us the mark Tortugas elsewhere. At this point, based on what people have told us, he feel likes, we have a mood of type High Sierra established, with much fewer people, where folks showed enthusiastic of everything what is proposed, and it is the ultimate compliment as promoter. In addition, the second highest ultimate compliment - is the ultimate compliment, I met my fiancé to Tortugas, while she was a volunteer ticketing!

We also told our guests that we would continue only for this set if every detail has been addressed - each amount of love, each blade of grass - was presented to you in the most wonderful light imaginable. At the moment, it is not an option, and with costs increases each year, the economy of the event have been extremely difficult to establish a balance between our books.

You know Tortugas is a true labor of love - has always been, always will be. Most of us have jobs of the day and put on the event for these amazing moments where look us in the audience and see our friends, old and new alike, having the time of their lives. Each Tortugas overflowed with such moments, and there is no feeling better than to see people at their most happy. I regularly receive emails from thank you for many of you this thing special, unique, if it continues in the coming days that warm my heart, and we want to keep Tortugas. The reason why that we have placed on the event is to help others to experience joy and the best music happening here today. It gives us great goose bumps of the world.

We give the final word to our guru of the source of inspiration, Jerry Garcia, who sang once something that expresses what we feel each and every one of you:

"Fare thee well, fare thee well, we love you more that words can say...". »

Much love to all the Tortugas crew
